The Anglo-Zulu War of 1879

    The tour begins in Durban with a visit to The Old Fort before heading along the coast to visit Fort Pearson and the Ultimatum Tree, followed by the battlefields of Gingindlovu and Nyezane before ending the day at Fort kwaMondi near Eshowe. Overnight at Shakaland near Eshowe, for a traditional Zululand experience.
  • Day 2:
    Visits to Isandlwana, Fugitive's Drift and Rorke's Drift today, the later encounter immortalized in the film "Zulu", for an in depth study of the famous defence. Overnight in Dundee.
  • Day 3:
    On to Vryheid and visits to the battlefields at Hlobane and Khambule and Intombi Drift before we overnight near Vryheid.
  • Day 4:
    On to Ondini and the battle of Ulundi where Lord Chelmsford dealt a mortal blow to the Zulu nation on 4 July 1879. In the afternoon we will enjoy a leisurely game drive through the nearby Hluhluwe / iMfolozi Park before we overnight at a Rest Camp located within the National Park.
  • Day 5:
    Return to Durban where you can either connect with a flight home or enjoy a holiday extension in South Africa.

Prices from R9000 per person sharing based on a group of 6 (maximum) persons.
For a private tour for 2 or 3 persons, prices start from R11,600 per person
