Battlefields of South Africa is a wholly owned South African subsidiary of Parkers African Travel. Through our associated company Parker Tours we have, for more than 15 years, offered specialist battlefield tours in South Africa. Based in KwaZulu-Natal we are ideally located within easy travelling distance of most of the main encounters of both the Anglo-Boer wars and the Anglo-Zulu war of 1879, with all the major concentrated action occurring in or around Northern Natal. After more than 15 years of being the local market leader we have maintained our highest reputation for providing in-country battlefield tours to many Service Associations and to the British Armed Forces. This now includes handling numbers of British Army Battlefield Study visits; providing either completely packaged itineraries or by delivering a wide range of other support services. We will always aim to ensure that these are professionally planned and supported by our experienced, competent and expert staff and that they deliver recognised value for money. Whatever your needs may be, an early enquiry is advised so that the best options for you and your budget can be identified and provided.     Battlefields of South Africa have negotiated substantial discounts within the travel industry and we calculate the cost of your tour using these discounted rates for accommodation, guiding and transport. When we add our modest administration charges, our aim is to provide a tour at the same cost as arranging it yourself. For 2011 and 2012 we have decided to extend our collection of fully guided tours, suitable for both individuals and groups wishing to maximise their battlefields experiences. These will concentrate on the Anglo-Zulu war of 1879 and the Natal based conflicts during the Anglo-Boer War with tours starting either in Dundee, Ladysmith or Durban. You will enjoy the company of a dedicated battlefields specialist guide who will accompany you throughout each tour. An exciting and exclusive tour for 2012 will cover the hundred years' Frontier wars of the Eastern Cape. This will be a unique and exciting fully guided trip starting in Cape Town before moving on to Grahamstown in the Eastern Cape. We are happy to adapt these tours to better suit your requirements.
